Blackfisch recently worked with SafeWork NSW to develop an animated campaign for the 23rd World Congress 2023. We were contracted to utilise their existing brand assets and visual identity to create a one-minute animation from which cut-downs, GIFs and stills were exported in appropriate formats. These assets were to be used in organic and paid advertising as well as in internal communications.

Client: Office of the Prime Minister and Cabinet

Blackfisch recently completed the ‘ASEAN-Australia Special Summit 2024’ project for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. This project, primarily post-production, involved delivering two 3-minute videos, eight social media cutdowns, and isolated graphics. The videos were showcased at the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit in Melbourne. Blackfisch received a commendation for our stellar work from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

national redress scheme

Creative Lead: Maddison Rutter-Malley
Client: Department of Social Services

The National Redress Scheme is in response to the Royal Commission’s investigation of institutional child sexual abuse. Blackfisch was tasked to create a series of 4 informatory videos ranging from 7-10minutes, for The Scheme, to be used on their website and other outlets.

To inform viewers of the support services available, and help those who are seeking Redress gain access to it. Our challenge was to deliver a series of videos of up to 40 minutes, that are trauma-informed, and visually, and verbally communicate to a diverse audience a sensitive subject matter without being triggering. As well as develop human characters without reference to age, ethnicity, expression, and gender.

While keeping exclusively to a colour palette of their primary brand colours. The solution was to produce the series as animations blended with kinetic typography. Utilising iconograpy for their universal semantics, as the basis for how artwork was developed.
